Bastos lifts Lille over Nice

Lille took its first chance of the game in the seventh minute when Ludovic Obraniak dashed down the left wing and crossed for Bastos, whose left-footed blast gave goalkeeper David Ospina no chance.

Nice managed just one shot on target throughout the match, but it came from the foot of Emerse Fae and it forced goalkeeper Gregory Malicki to make a good save.

Lille could have added to its lead late when Bastos had a long-range shot skim the crossbar.

Lyon remained three points clear of the rest of Ligue 1 after a scoreless draw with Marseille, which jumped into second place, while Lorient handled last- place Le Havre, 3-1.
